Why goals matter

You can’t hit a target you can’t see.

Setting and achieving goals happens by law, not by chance. When we work in harmony with neuroscience-based models of change and spiritual wisdom, the results we achieve are holistic.

01

Only 4% set goals

Only 4% of people in the world set goals in their lives. The rest are usually working for them, helping them fulfil their goals.

02

Peace of mind

The master goal for 80% of people in this world is to achieve peace of mind.

03

Negative thoughts

The opposite of inner peace is negative thoughts. They feed negative emotions that cause stress and anxiety.

04

No clear purpose

The second major cause of stress and negativity is having no clear meaning, purpose or goal in life.

05

A GPS for the mind

Goals are the fuel in the furnace of success — a GPS installed within our mind that guides us day to day.

06

Clarity creates motivation

Successful people have a clear picture of what they want. That clarity is what gets them out of bed every day.

The problem

Why we don’t set — or achieve — our goals.

Five patterns the brain falls into, and why they stop us before we start.

01

No clear, specific target

Vague goals (“I will get fit…”) don’t trigger the brain networks that plan actions.

02

Overwhelm & perfectionism

Big goals feel risky. The brain prefers small, certain wins, so we avoid starting.

03

No written plan or cues

Unwritten goals stay in working memory and are easily derailed. Writing and external cues turn them into structured habits.

04

No accountability

Weekly reporting, or a partner, raises success rates substantially.

05

Faulty motivation wiring

We rely on willpower and hope. The brain responds better to immediate rewards, clear cues and small steps — the S3 strategy: Small Simple Steps.

What you’ll learn

By the end of the class, you will be able to:

Clear outcomes from one focused, 90-minute live class.

01

The neuroscience of motivation

02

SMART + Neuro goals

Turn a wish into a goal that is specific, measurable, actionable, realistic and time-bound — plus brain-friendly cues and rewards.

03

A bite-sized action plan

Write an action plan with implementation intentions and micro-habits that overcome overwhelm.

04

Accountability that works

Build an accountability and feedback system that measurably raises your odds of success.

05

21 / 40 / 66-day checkpoints

Use a simple worksheet and checkpoints to monitor progress and rewire habits for long-term follow-through.
